Contract Conditions
When working internationally, European contractors insist on balanced international contract conditions which allocate the contractual risks fairly between the parties and facilitate effective dispute settlement. EIC regularly reviews the international standard forms of contract published by FIDIC and has issued corresponding Contractor’s Guides. These can be obtained in the EIC Bookshop.
For complex and large infrastructure works, EIC advocates the use of collaborative project delivery models which involve contractors early in the design process to ensure value engineering and accurate cost estimates.
