European International Contractors welcomes you to the digital Spring Workshop on:

Turning the 2050 Carbon Neutrality Challenge into a Business Opportunity for European International Contractors

Dear Member,

In 2020, European international contractors – like other industries and society in general – were confronted with the necessity to navigate the immediate consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic. Whilst the impact of the pandemic is still felt throughout the year 2021, it overshadows a more fundamental challenge for the construction industry in Europe and world-wide. Indeed, the December 2015 Paris Agreement signalled the urgency and opened the eyes of many to finally act on climate issues. Calling for worldwide carbon neutrality in the second half of the century sets a demanding however unquestionable target – a challenge we all have to face and contribute to in the construction industry.

In line with above context, the EIC Digital Spring Workshop 2021 on 16 April 2021 will feature four workshop sessions with the objective to convene the expertise of the EIC Working Groups, Member Federations and Associated Company Members to develop a vision for a carbon-neutral and resource efficient construction industry as well as to identify strategies and solutions on how European international contractors can turn the challenge of global climate change into a business opportunity.

To this end, we kindly ask interested members to please register at the earliest convenience for one of the four workshop sessions, as seats are limited. In preparation of the discussion, you shall receive a survey relevant to your selected subject which may then be discussed interactively throughout the workshop.

At the same time, the Digital Platform "Brella" will provide a Virtual Marketplace where European international contractors can meet with our Associated Member Companies, and allows all participants to schedule individual 1- to -1 meetings.

We look forward to debating this very important topic together with you!
