Who we Are
EIC voices the position of Europe’s internationally active contractors to EU and OECD policymakers, advocates fair competition on the international construction market and provides a unique forum for networking for its members.
EIC Priorities are:
- Liaising with the EU Institutions in the context of Global Gateway to strengthen cooperation in the transport sector
- Consulting with Multilateral Development Banks on the use of rated criteria in International Competitive Bidding
- Advocating collaborative project delivery methods and fair and balanced standard forms of contract
- Promoting European excellence on ESG issues and sustainable decarbonisation of the construction industry
Board
Each Member Federation is entitled to nominate an internationally experienced contractor as Member of the EIC Board. The Board determines the policy of EIC within the scope of the principal resolutions adopted by the General Assembly. Each Board Member is elected by the General Assembly for an initial term of two years which may then be extended.
Member Federations
EIC is registered since 1984 as a professional association under German law and has its registered office in Berlin, Germany. Members are construction industry federations from 14 European countries that are directly or indirectly affiliated to the European Construction Industry Federation (FIEC). Membership can be acquired through an application for membership, admission is decided by the EIC Board.
